New Concept for Microsurgery
3D Video Microscopy

While 3D-video microscopy has applied experimentally and clinically, this application in advanced surgical operations such as organ transplantation has a high locally expanding ratio, so it is difficult to grasp the entire operation. Therefore, a manipulation technique of a 3D video system that can cover not only the local but also the entire operation field of view is necessary.

In this video, we introduce rat small intestine transplantation model by use of a microscope (KestrelView II, Mitaka Kohki Co., Ltd., Tokyo) that takes a binocular camera as an integrated video, photographs the surgical field and constructs the image on a 3D screen. Your surgery will be changed under a general visual field in a borderless manner with the head up state.
